25 Christmas Day

26 Boxing Day

Boxing Day is a public holiday celebrated in the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand and Australia and many other Commonwealth countries on December 26, the day after Christmas Day; or alternatively on the next weekday after Christmas.

The celebration is traditional, dating back to the middle ages, and consisted of the practice of giving of gifts to employees, the poor, or to people in a lower social class. The name has numerous folk etymologies the Oxford English Dictionary attributes it to the Christmas box; the verb box meaning: "To give a Christmas-box (colloq.); hence boxing-day."

TBA Heineken Kalalu Music Festival

Save the dates because this is the Caribbean’s most diverse musical event featuring authentic artists from around the world. Sponsored by global brand Heineken Music, Kalalu promises the kind of cultural and culinary diversity that whets the entertainment appetite.

Now into its third year, the 2007 festival adds an international food and craft bazaar to its already impressive resume of musicians and side attractions. The 4-day festival, a fixture on the island’s event calendar is perfect for St. Lucia with its creole, Anglo-franco links to Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia.

The Heineken KALALU Music Festival brings these influences together: sights, sounds and sensations, in a wondrous weekend of fun, food, and fantastic music ranging from the traditional to the popular.

Early whisperings suggest another dynamite line up so watch the web for the July announcement.
