Saint Lucia (February 24, 2012) — This summer, Saint Lucia will welcome additional service from New York on JetBlue Airways. Beginning June 28 through September 4, 2012, JetBlue will offer daily non-stop flights between New York’s JFK International Airport (JFK) and Saint Lucia’s Hewanorra Airport (UVF), making the island even more accessible for travelers flying from the Northeast.

The JetBlue flight departs New York at 8:29 a.m. each day and arrives in Saint Lucia at 1:07 p.m.; and conversely departs Saint Lucia at 2:10 p.m. to arrive back in New York at 7:12 p.m. Saint Lucia’s Hewanorra Airport at Vieux Fort is located 40 miles south of Castries.

“We are delighted to be able to offer visitors convenient daily service from JetBlue, a valued travel partner, so they can enjoy the special savings available throughout the summer season,” said Louis Lewis, Director of Tourism for the Saint Lucia Tourist Board.

"We're excited to be able to add additional service and meet our customers’ demands. Saint Lucia has most definitely been an integral part of JetBlue’s Caribbean network since its start," said Chad Meyerson, director of global sales for JetBlue. "Saint Lucians and visitors alike have embraced JetBlue’s value proposition, complete with low fares, unlimited and free snacks and drinks, feature movies on seatback televisions and the best service in the skies; they will now have more choices to do so.”
