Bel Jou is an ideal destination for an authentic Caribbean holiday. You can enjoy views across the Caribbean Sea and the capital, Castries, from the hotel's steep hill-top setting. A complimentary shuttle bus runs four times a day from the hotel to Castries (approximately 15 minutes away), Rodney Bay (30 minutes) and Pigeon Island (45 minutes). Due to the hotel's location on a steep hill we recommend that guests use the free bus service rather than walking from the hotel into Castries.
A number of excursions are included for guests wishing to explore all that the island has to offer. Included excursions on one week holidays: a tour of Castries, Rodney Bay and Pigeon Island, a catamaran cruise to Les Pitons. Plus, on holidays of 2 weeks or longer: Spirit and rhythms of St Lucia: Visit a rum distillery, the village of Anse La Raye and a colonial sugar plantation. A packed lunch is available for no extra charge for those who wish to stay out at the beach for the day. On full-day excursions your included lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
A wide range of optional excursions are available for an additional cost, these include: Rainforest aerial tram, Schooner cruise of the Grenadines, Whale and dolphin watching, Mamiku Gardens, Sunset cruise on the Brig Unicorn, Fond Latisab, Deep sea fishing, Rainforest trails, Colonial St Lucia. Please note: all excursions are subject to change and may require mimum numbers to run.

Boasting stunning views over Castries and the Caribbean Sea from its setting atop a steep hill, Bel Jou is a small, all-inclusive hotel reserved for adults-only. The hotel provides a tranquil retreat, free from the distractions of more overrun resorts with many opportunities for sightseeing and sampling island life. Owned and operated by UK travel company, Saga Holidays, this hotel is exclusive to guests aged 50 years and over.
Facilities at Bel Jou include the Verandah Restaurant and Verandah Terrace, which offers stunning sea views; a cocktail lounge; the Cabana Grill serving light lunches; an outdoor swimming pool with terrace and pool bar; a rooftop sun deck; and a 24-hour English speaking reception. The free bar is open from 11am to 11pm daily and serves local alcoholic drinks, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.
Of the 64 air-conditioned bedrooms, 52 are in the main building with French doors opening onto a balcony or terrace which overlooks the sea or hotel gardens. The remaining 12 bedrooms are on the ground floor in a separate building and have French doors opening onto a terrace. All single bedrooms are located in this building. Bathrooms have a shower and wc, and all rooms have a flat-screen television, DVD player, telephone, tea and coffee-making facilities, a hairdryer and minibar on request for an extra charge. There are no lifts – rooms in the main building are reached by one or two flights of stairs. Two owners suites are available for a supplement. Each features enhanced room facilities including a super king-size bed and a private sun terrace with a plunge pool and sun loungers.
