Perez, Carrington & Street
Born in Panama, Danilo Perez is a pianist, composer and social activist. His latest album, Children Of The Light, a collaboration with fellow Wayne Shorter Quartet members John Patitucci and Brian Blade, was released on Mack Avenue in September of 2015.
GRAMMY® award-winning drummer, com-poser and bandleader Terri Lyne Carrington was born in Medford, Massachusetts. Her production and songwriting collaborations have produced notable works including her production of the Dianne Reeves GRAMMY®-nominated CD, That Day, as well as Dianne Reeves GRAMMY® Award-winning CD, Beau-tiful Life, in 2014.
Bassist Ben Street is a member of the jazz groups Orange then Blue on GM Recordings and Sephardic Tinge on Tzadik. His work in avant garde and free jazz during the '90s include performing and recording with Lee Konitz, Tim Berne, and in a variety of line ups with drummer Kenny Wolleson. Street has also worked with Joey Calderazzo, Gene Bertoncini, Eugene Maslov, Kurt Rosenwinkel, the Frank Carlberg Quintet and Once Blue.
