THE SAINT LUCIA TOURIST BOARD FACILITATES DONATIONS TO LOCAL NPOs
Castries, Saint Lucia, May 21st, 2009 – The Saint Lucia Tourist Board and the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s (CTO) Chapter of Northern California will make monetary contributions, as well as donations of barrels of grocery items, to three charitable organizations on Saint Lucia. The cheque presentation will be held on Wednesday May 27th, 2009 at the Conference Room of the Saint Lucia Tourist Board at 10:00 a.m.
Over the last (5) five years, the Saint Lucia Tourist Board has been involved in the distribution of grocery items, clothing and stationary items to various children’s homes as well as homes for the elderly. These donations are made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Board and the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s (CTO) Chapter of Northern California.
In the past, the Children’s Homes at Soufriere and Ciceron have been two of the main beneficiaries of this initiative. This year, the Maryann Home for the Elderly will also be on the receiving end of this generous demonstration of goodwill from the SLTB and the CTO Northern California Chapter.
