Saint Lucian band, Skip Monday, effectively combines bohemian vocals with acoustic/electric guitar, bass and drums. The foundation of their genre is unapologetically rock based with threads of blues, pop, r&b, funk and reggae thrown in for good measure.
Covering acts such as Adele, Alice Merton, Colbie Caillat, John Mayer, Clapton, Beatles, Hendrix, Pink Floyd and even Metallica and Nirvana, Skip Monday’s live repertoire is a blend of old and new school rock and pop acts that is as different and dynamic it is entertaining. Skip Monday has participated in several festivals over the years opening for the likes of Maxi Priest, Shaggy, Third World, Barrington Levy and Karen Briggs.
Skip Monday’s performance is entirely live (no synths, drum machines or keyboards for that matter) and their original material, the product of songwriting and arrangements developed over many moons, is seamlessly woven into their cover repertoire.
