Let Her Inspire You

Health & Wellness

From sandy beaches with crystal clear waters to rejuvenating volcanic mud baths, Saint Lucia has everything needed for the ultimate health & wellness experience.

The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) has launched a collection of healthy recipes from across the island to inspire people who want some inspiration for healthy eating.

All the dishes have been created by hotels and independent restaurants and include vegan and vegetarian options along with fish and chicken dishes and cleansing juices. Many of the hotels grow their own produce for their delicious Caribbean creations. In this collection, these flavours are shared for people to cook and enjoy a taste of (healthy) Saint Lucia at home.

Saint Lucian Healthy recipes include:

  • Roasted pumpkin wedges with turmeric salsa (vegan)
  • Avocado Amarillo Seviche (vegan)
  • Chickpea and Mango Salad (vegan)
  • Snapper cooked in banana leaves
  • Rainbow Breakfast Bowl
  • St Lucian stuffed bakes (vegetarian)
  • Jerk chicken and fruit salsa
  • Liquid Lunch

Botanical Trail

Immerse yourself in the natural wonders of Saint Lucia with a trip down her Botanical Trail. As you traverse the island’s idyllic gardens and serene parks, you’ll encounter more than 1,300 different species of wild flowering plants and 150 species of ferns; all packed into fewer than 620 square kilometers. These plants have long been part of traditional Caribbean medicine, and only now are becoming accepted by conventional medical practitioners. See for yourself why Saint Lucia is among the Caribbean’s most pristine botanical paradises.

Wellness Retreats

The award-winning Wellness Centre at The Body Holiday has one of the most comprehensive arrays of spa treatments of any hotel in the Caribbean. One session each day – a Lucian Lime and Ginger Scrub, a Saint Lucian Sizzler full body massage, or seawater hydrotherapy – is covered in the all-inclusive rates, along with various fitness and relaxation classes such as yoga, pilates and tai chi.

Nestled in the heart of mother nature, the Ti Kaye Resort & Spa features open-air treatment rooms set into the cliffside. Enjoy spectacular views of the silver sands of Anse Cochon while taking in the extraordinary spa experiences. Or, get inspired with one of their wellness retreats focused on yoga and meditation with exercise in Saint Lucia’s various terrains.

Stonefield Villa Resort and Spa instantly relaxes you with the natural energy of the Pitons that tower above the resort. It is the ideal escape to rejuvenate and recharge surrounded by nature and overlooking the Caribbean sea. Sensational spa treatments with plant and ocean based product lines, organic meals from the award winning Mango Tree restaurant, yoga, Pilates and a variety of wellness retreats throughout the year

Spa Resorts

The Rainforest Spa at Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort, lives up to its name. Spa sessions take place in gazebos perched on stilts above a gushing stream and forest floor. A temascal – an Amerindian steam dome – links the complex to Saint Lucia’s earliest settlers, and unique bamboo massages are available.

Visitors at The Auriga Spa at Capella Marigot Bay Resort and Marina enjoy the outdoor ambiance of a steam inhalation room, Jacuzzi, and sauna cabana. A welcoming, grounding ceremony, employing carefully selected herbs is designed to prepare the body for the spa ritual.

Let Her Pamper You

Indulge in rejuvenating and restorative treatments like no other. Home to the world’s only drive-in volcano, you will experience a unique site plus benefit from the therapeutic power of the hot mineral-rich springs. This natural phenomenon, named the Qualibou Caldera, leaves a marked impression upon those who stand above peering into its murky depths. Yet, in fact, the Sulphur Springs act as a safety valve, constantly releasing subterranean pressure, and stabilizing the area.

A visit to Soufriere is an absolute must for all wellness-minded visitors to Saint Lucia. Soak in the restored baths in the Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens or in the bathing pools at the nearby Sulphur Springs with purifying mud. The mud is said to detoxify the body and helps heal sunburns, eczema, sore joints and more. It’s the ultimate natural spa treatment. Local legend insists that this experience will make you look and feel younger!
